A few days ago, we started the day last Thursday with an extraordinary addition: the famous former national soccer coach Vicente del Bosque, who went to one of the group’s centers to sign a collaboration agreement with the sports management of the educational group to which SLAM belongs.

The agreement aims to reinforce the values of sports in the school community, such as effort, perseverance, honesty, generosity, the spirit of self-improvement and service to others. Don Vicente del Bosque becomes an ambassador for SLAM, which develops an elite sports program unique in Spain, with official qualifications in soccer, horse riding, golf, sailing and other sports in the future. In this program, the sporting talents of each student are discovered and, through careful personalized itineraries that are adapted to each athlete, leadership and a sense of social responsibility are fostered in them.

After the signing, Mr. Vicente del Bosque had a joyful meeting with students of ESO and Bachillerato accompanied by Mr. Enrique Martín, the director of the school, Mrs. Bettina von den Steinen, the general sports director of Grundstein Gestión Educativa, Mr. Germán Robles and the head of SLAM Élite Sport, Mr. Adrián Gheorghiu. During the colloquium, Mr. Vicente spoke to the students about important values and virtues such as justice, strength, humility, the ability to work as a team and enthusiasm for all the goals they set for themselves in life. It was a truly enriching and unforgettable talk for everyone.

Don Vicente del Bosque was a Real Madrid player between 1968 and 1984, was capped 18 times by Spain, scoring 25 goals and playing 339 official matches as a midfielder. His achievements were crowned with 5 leagues and 4 Spanish Cups. As coach of Real Madrid he has won 7 titles, including two European Cups. After replacing Luis Aragonés in 2008, he won the World Cup in 2010 and the Eurocup in 2012.

He has received countless awards and decorations. King Juan Carlos I awarded him the Marquisate of Del Bosque in 2011, and in the same year he was awarded the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit and the Grand Cross of the Order of the 2nd of May.
