This Wednesday was held the second edition of the ‘Motherhood and Sport Day’ at the facilities of Slam International, an event organized by the Spanish Olympic Committee and the Junta de Castilla y León, with the aim of raising awareness, reflect and inform about the reconciliation between motherhood and sport.
The day was inaugurated by Ona Carbonell, Olympic medalist and mother of two children, a benchmark of conciliation in the sports world.
An interesting day, which also discussed the advantages of breastfeeding, as well as the most common difficulties and the physiology, cost and energy optimization, in which also participated the expert in sports medicine Monserrat Bellver, physiotherapist Stephanie Kauffmann, fitness trainer Juanjo Andújar and midwife and anthropologist Roser Gol.
The conference was closed by the Vice President of the Junta de Castilla y León, Mr. Juan García-Gallardo, where he reaffirmed the commitment of the board to promote the birth rate and, above all, to help women who practice sports to become mothers too.
